In June 2010, Jordan Jacobs joined the staff at the Economic Development Council (EDC) as the Director of Communications & Marketing. She is responsible for establishing messaging and branding, handling media relations, coordinating the development and marketing of targeted publications, as well as promoting the community to local, state and national business prospects.
Prior to joining the EDC, Jordan earned her bachelor’s degree in public relations with a special concentration in business from the University of Florida. Following graduation, she was recruited by The Zimmerman Agency where she earned the role of Group Supervisor. Her responsibilities included increasing client exposure and sales through the orchestration of worldwide editorial coverage, product launches, executive missions and familiarization tours. She later established an LLC and began providing public relations, communications and marketing consultation services.
In her spare time, Jordan enjoys traveling, practicing yoga or simply getting lost in Irish and British “chick lit”.
