Leon County M/WSBE Hosts Reverse Trade Show Thursday Area Businesses Encouraged to Attend Open House-Style Meeting
The Leon County Division of Minority/Women Small Business Enterprise (M/WSBE) will host a reverse trade show Thursday, March 18, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. that will include Leon County Solid Waste, Parks and Recreation, Engineering Services, Operations, Facilities, Purchasing and Housing.
The free reverse trade show, which will take place on the second floor of the Renaissance Building at 435 N. Macomb St., will provide an opportunity for local vendors to present their services and commodities. Local businesses will be able to identify County departments and divisions that can use their services and/or commodities and speak with staff face-to-face.
This trade show is for area businesses, big and small, that are interested in selling their goods and services to Leon County divisions and meet with them in-person, said Iranetta Burnett, Director of the Leon County Division of Minority/Women Small Business Enterprise. Businesses don't have to have prior experience working with County operations, and all types of industries are invited.
The event titled Leon County: Fostering New Working Relationships is an effort by the Division of Minority/Women Small Business Enterprise to increase local vendors awareness of the services and/or commodities Leon County government solicits and to foster new working relationships in the local market area, which includes Leon, Jefferson, Wakulla and Gadsden counties. Refreshments will be served.
